BigMedilytics at the European Big Data Value Forum 2019 in Helsinki
The BigMedilytics project was one of the sponsors of the European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) 2019 that took place in Helsinki (Finland) from the 14th to the 16th of October. The project had a booth at the venue of the event, the Scandic Marina Congress Center.
The EBDVF is the annual central event of the European Big Data and AI communities that gathers industry professionals, business developers, researchers, and policymakers from different countries. This year was organized by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) in collaboration with the European Commission and the company VTT as the local organizer.
During the three days of the event, attendees could know better BigMedilytics through the project’s brochure, as well as a general poster describing the whole project and A4 format posters about the 12 pilots. The different pilots attracted the attention of several attendees that showed interest in them asking questions to the partners of the BigMedilytics consortium presented at the booth.
The BigMedilytics project had also a presence at the Big Data Value Association booth through brochures and other communication materials and mentioned during the session “Best Success Story” on the second day of the event.
This session referred to the “Success Story Awards”, a contest organized last June by the Big Data Value eCosystem Project (BDVe) in which BigMedilytics was a finalist project with “Mapping the societal dimensions of Big Data to facilitate the use of these technologies in the Healthcare Sector” by Erasmus University.
